U.S. asserts: Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian businesses will not hinder peace negotiations

The United States has firmly stated that Russian missile strikes on American-invested enterprises in Ukraine will not obstruct diplomatic efforts or the peace process.
Vice President Joe Biden, in an interview with Meet the Press on NBC News, emphasized that even after attacks on major facilities, such as the Flex plant in Mukachevo, there remains room for negotiations and finding pathways to peace.
He highlighted that while these military actions demand a firm response, they do not threaten the primary goal of ending the war and restoring peace in Ukraine.Additionally, the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Andriy Gunder, called on Western leaders to act more decisively against Russia and prevent the destruction Moscow seeks to inflict on Ukrainian businesses through missile attacks.
He stressed that a strong reaction is crucial to support Ukraine’s economy and maintain a stable investment climate.Biden’s deputy added that if Kremlin does not make steps toward dialogue and refuses to meet with Ukrainian authorities, the U.S.
will continue to utilize all available leverage to exert pressure.
He expressed confidence that negotiations will experience ups and downs but reaffirmed America’s commitment to a long-term peace solution. It is noteworthy that former President Donald Trump has previously criticized Russian strikes on American enterprises in Ukraine and called for supporting Ukrainian businesses during these challenging times.
Critics argue that leadership decisions are vital for preventing a broader escalation of the conflict.
