In a letter shared via social media, Trump expressed his sincerest wishes to Ukrainians, emphasizing their unbreakable spirit and bravery, which serve as an inspiration worldwide.

He highlighted that the United States values Ukraine’s fight for independence, honors its sacrifices, and believes in the country’s future as a sovereign nation.

Trump called for an end to senseless violence and supported efforts towards achieving lasting peace through diplomatic negotiations that would safeguard Ukraine’s sovereignty and dignity.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the greeting by appreciating Trump’s words and thanking the U.S.

for standing firmly with Ukraine on this important day.

He stressed that Ukraine values America’s steadfast stance on independence and peace, and he remains confident that joint efforts can end the war and restore stability and prosperity to Ukraine.

According to sources, Trump intends to remain involved as a mediator, organizing meetings between Russian and Ukrainian leaders, which currently distances him from active negotiations to end the conflict.

Additionally, he sharply criticized incumbent President Joe Biden for allegedly preventing Ukraine from attacking Russia, thereby depriving Kyiv of the chance to win the war.

On August 21, Trump stated he would evaluate the possibility of peace in Ukraine within two weeks.

This statement reaffirms his desire to play a role in diplomatic efforts and help find a compromise capable of leading to long-awaited peace in the region.
