Russia Launches Nearly 500 Attacks on Zaporizhzhia Region in a Single Day of August

A significant escalation of hostilities has been reported in the Zaporizhzhia region, starting on August 23 and continuing through the day.
According to the regional military administration, Russian forces launched over 470 missile and artillery strikes, damaging numerous residential buildings and critical infrastructure.
As a result of these attacks, two local residents — a man and a woman — were injured, as announced by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on his Telegram channel.In the past 24 hours, the occupiers targeted 11 settlements within the region.
Notably, they carried out two airstrikes on Novоandrіivka, and also launched seven missile strikes from multiple launch rocket systems on Pіlavni, Gulyaypole, Malynivka, and Mala Tokmachka.
Drones and aircraft attacked strategic targets, with 315 unmanned aerial vehicles of various modifications—mainly FPV—being recorded over areas including Stepnohirsk, Pіlavni, Gulyaypole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Malynivka, and Novoandrіivka.Additionally, 154 artillery shellings inflicted significant damage on infrastructure and residential areas in Pіlavni, Gulyaypole, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Charivne, and Novoandrіivka.
Unfortunately, at least 13 reports of destruction of homes and household structures have been received, highlighting the ongoing danger for civilians.The situation remains tense, with the regional authorities confirming continued threats.
For instance, on August 24 starting from 2:45 AM, explosions were heard in Sumy and its region due to a massive drone attack by Russia, adding to the regional instability and necessitating heightened security measures.
