Within the framework of its new aid program, the Norwegian government officially announced a record allocation of approximately $695.7 million, equivalent to around 7 billion NOK.

These funds are intended to enhance Ukraine’s air defense capabilities, focusing on modern missile systems and radar equipment to help the country protect its skies from Russian airstrikes and missile attacks.

Notably, the delivery of these air defense systems will be coordinated with Germany, highlighting deep bilateral cooperation.

Norway and Germany are jointly financing two Patriot missile systems, including the necessary missiles, and Norway is also involved in purchasing German-made radar stations from Hensoldt and additional defense systems from Kongsberg.

Defense Minister Tore O.

Sæland emphasized that air defense remains crucial for the safety of military personnel and critical infrastructure, and Norway is intensifying its efforts alongside Germany.
