Liman Battle: Tense Frontline Situation, Encirclement Threatens Ukrainian Forces

The long-standing fierce fight in the Donbas region continues to unfold, with Ukrainian defenders battling to hold every meter of their positions.
The most critical situation is currently unfolding in the Liman area and the Serebryansky Forest, where Russian occupiers persist in active offensive operations.
They are employing tactics involving small infantry groups that infiltrate deep into Ukrainian-held territory, exerting constant pressure and seeking opportunities to consolidate their positions.
According to Ukrainian sources like DeepState, the situation there is growing increasingly tense: many Ukrainian units’ positions are reported only on paper, while on the ground, they are often vulnerable to encirclement.
In some cases, the enemy unexpectedly appears in the rear, destroying Ukrainian drone and electronic warfare systems.
The situation is particularly dire in the forest on the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River, where the enemy can easily shut off the route in the area of Hryhorivka and Dronivka, risking the encirclement of Ukrainian units deploying there.
Meanwhile, commanding officers are trying to evacuate their soldiers in time to prevent encirclement.
The enemy has intensified efforts to push Ukrainian forces out of the Serebryansky Forest, advancing towards Yampol and establishing positions near the Yampol-Zarichne road.
The situation in Zarichne itself is also unfavorable, with the enemy gradually moving into the settlement, bypassing Ukrainian positions, making it increasingly difficult to oust them.
Reports suggest that Russian forces have achieved tactical successes in the Serebryansky Forest and near Serebrianka, escalating pressure and creating serious risks for Ukrainian troops on this front.
