Amid ongoing regional tensions and aimed at countering the growing pro-Russian influence, Israel launched a series of airstrikes targeting key military sites in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the precise targets included strategic assets belonging to the Houthi movement.

Among the destroyed objectives were the presidential palace situated in the city center, several essential power stations such as Adar and Hizaz, and fuel storage facilities utilized for military operations.

These strikes came as a retaliatory measure against multiple rocket and drone attacks launched by the Houthis earlier at Israeli territories, with the group maintaining close ties to Iran and using civilian infrastructure for military purposes.

Official reports emphasize that the Houthis continue to exploit civilian infrastructure for terrorist activities, alarming the international community.

Concurrently, the Israeli Defense Ministry authorized the mobilization of over 60,000 reservists to bolster defenses, especially in the Gaza Strip.

Military forces have already begun land operations in Gaza, controlling its outskirts and preparing for a broader campaign to take the city under control, marking a significant escalation in Israel’s efforts to secure its national interests and ensure regional security.
