Russian Attack on Flex Factory in Mukachevo: Rescue Services End Firefighting After Three Days of Efforts

Three days after Russian military strikes hit the Flex manufacturing plant in the city of Mukachevo, located in the Zakarpattia region, Ukrainian emergency services continue their efforts to mitigate the aftermath of this devastating incident.
On August 21, a destructive fire erupted following the strike on the factory, engulfing an area exceeding seven thousand square meters.
Only after persistent and coordinated efforts over three days were firefighters able to completely put out the blaze, according to the official Telegram channel of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
Currently, specialists are engaged in clearing the wreckage and conducting measures to prevent potential re-ignition, including dismantling damaged structures.
To manage the disaster, four units of equipment and 13 rescue workers were involved.
According to the Ministry of Defense, 23 employees sustained injuries during the attack.
Previously, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reported that a Russian missile allegedly struck an American electronics manufacturing company on the site.
The incident has attracted international political attention, especially after the Hungarian president initially misidentified the attack as Russian and later corrected his statement.
Additionally, the U.S.
Commercial Attaches, via President Andriy Gunder, called on the American government to support Ukrainian businesses and oppose Russia’s campaign of destruction led by Vladimir Putin, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding foreign investments in Ukraine.
