Over recent months, there has been a noticeable improvement in the tactics employed by Russian military forces on the front lines, leading to a significant decrease in their casualty rates during hostilities.

Military experts highlight that the aggressors have learned to conduct targeted strikes with smaller groups, enabling them to conserve their personnel and increase the effectiveness of their offensive operations.

According to analyses conducted by journalists and military analysts, while the number of active engagements remains around 130–150 daily, the trend of Russian troop losses shows a positive shift toward fewer casualties.

Expert Pavlo Narožny explains that the enemy is now engaging more actively, but is trying to minimize the use of large infantry units, a factor that previously contributed to Russian setbacks.

In some sections of the front, combat intensity has diminished, although artillery shelling continues heavily.

This implies that Russian forces are refining their tactics—avoiding urban battles and instead focusing on flanking maneuvers through open steppe territories, which are more maneuverable for them.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenses maintain territorial integrity with no significant enemy advances in key regions.

The expert notes that Moscow is learning from past mistakes, such as in Bakhmut, where prolonged street fighting lasted nearly half a year.

Therefore, in the region of Pokrovsk, Russian forces prefer to avoid urban combat, attacking from the flanks across open plains, which proves to be more advantageous.

It should also be noted that Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups attempt to infiltrate Ukrainian-held urban areas, but the main strikes occur outside populated settlements to avoid prolonged urban battles.

Overall, Ukrainian military observers note ongoing enemy tactical adjustments and improvements, with Russian forces continuously developing new methods of combat.

This strategy helps them reduce human losses while gaining certain tactical advantages.

Against the backdrop of these changes, Ukrainian authorities and military analysts call for vigilance and continued preparedness to counteract new challenges on the front lines.
