In recent years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been actively expanding its military capabilities and infrastructure to strengthen its position both regionally and globally.

Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh made a sensational statement indicating that Iran has established several military factories abroad, although the exact locations remain classified.

During an interview, covered by media outlets such as The Times of Israel and Iran International, he stated: “We have built arms manufacturing plants in some countries, but we currently do not intend to disclose their exact whereabouts.” The minister also added that over the past year, Iranian forces tested new types of weapons, including modern and maneuverable warheads, reflecting the country’s military advancement.

Particular attention was given to missile technology development, a key focus for Iran over recent years.

However, Nasirzadeh noted that, due to ongoing conflicts and potential escalations with Israel, military priorities might shift.

He hinted that the new facilities are likely to be officially announced and inaugurated soon.

This development occurs amidst heightened tensions around Iran’s nuclear program, especially following recent Israeli and US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

Iran has since limited cooperation with the IAEA and threatened to withdraw from the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

In response to these events, US military forces reported attacking Iranian nuclear infrastructure, including a highly fortified facility at Fordo.

Iran claims to have evacuated all critical nuclear sites ahead of these attacks to mitigate risks and prevent substantial damage.

The ongoing regional escalation underscores the fragile stability and raises concerns over diplomatic resolutions to the growing conflicts.
