Belief in Victory: Ukrainian Perspectives on War and Future Elections

Over recent years, Ukrainian society has demonstrated a remarkable level of confidence in achieving victory in the ongoing war instigated by Russia.
According to surveys conducted by the polling group ‘Rating,’ more than 80% of Ukrainians genuinely believe their country will emerge victorious despite the long and challenging road ahead.
In February and September 2024, this confidence slightly declined to 88%, yet the majority still hold an optimistic outlook for the future.
The highest confidence was recorded in June 2022, when up to 98% of Ukrainians trusted in eventual victory, followed closely by April 2022 and February 2023, with 97%.
The surveys also reveal that approximately 16% of Ukrainians do not believe in victory, while about 4% found it difficult to answer the question.
