Ukrainian Military and International Allies Develop Joint Proposals for War Resolution and Long-term Peace in Europe
Amid active diplomatic efforts and military coordination among leading global nations, several prominent states successfully coordinated their approaches and proposals to finalize negotiations aimed at ending the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and establishing a stable security framework across Europe.
Following meetings held on August 19–20, commanders of national military headquarters from various countries discussed their military strategies and plans, which will now be submitted to national security advisors for integration into the diplomatic process.
The coordination and strategic planning will continue, depending on the progress of negotiations and battlefield developments.Participating in these consultations were military leaders from Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ukraine, as well as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, General Alexis Grinka.
Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi joined via video conference, emphasizing that unity and political support from partners could enable true peace and security for Ukraine and the entire continent.
Earlier, on August 17, the co-chairs of the ‘Coalition of Willing’—French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Kira Starmer—declared their readiness to deploy support forces after hostilities cease.
London also clarified that negotiations with U.S.
representatives would soon take place to strengthen security plans.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that daily diplomatic negotiations are ongoing to enhance security guarantees, stressing that only coordinated international efforts can achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
