Ukrainian drones deliver powerful strike on Russian oil pumping station: nighttime operation results
On the night of August 22, Ukrainian military forces carried out a significant attack using unmanned systems against a key facility in the Bryansk region of Russia.
According to operational reports, kamikaze drones belonging to the 14th UAV unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully struck the “Druzhba” oil pumping station in the town of Unecha.
This strategically vital site functions as a major node in a vast pipeline network.
The commander of Ukrainian UAV forces, Robert Brovdi, known by the call sign “Magyar,” announced this success via Telegram, noting that the station even required repairs afterward.
He emphasized that the operation was executed within a short timeframe — less than 48 hours.
In his remarks, Brovdi addressed Russian troops with the call “Russians, go home!” and summed up: “The journey of the UAV Birds continues, wriggling through the oil refinery…” It is worth mentioning that Unecha station is one of the largest hubs in the Druzhba pipeline system, which is crucial to Russia’s economy and supplies over 9,000 kilometers of oil pipelines.
This attack marks another strike by Ukrainian drones, undermining the enemy’s logistical capabilities and demonstrating the high effectiveness of Ukrainian military operations in countering Russian aggression.
