Ukrainian professional footballer and defender of Dynamo Kyiv, Oleksandr Syrota, has officially transferred to a new team by signing a loan agreement with Turkish club Kocaelispor.

The move was confirmed through the clubs’ official social media channels, signaling a long-term cooperation between the two sides.

The loan is valid until the end of the current season, providing Syrota with an opportunity to showcase his skills in a different league.

The 25-year-old center-back previously played on loan for Israeli club Maccabi Haifa, where he participated in 22 league matches, 2 Israeli Cup games, and 2 Europa Conference League qualifiers.

A product of Dynamo Kyiv’s youth system, Syrota has already demonstrated his talent in the 2023/24 season, playing 20 matches and making one assist.

He also has two caps for the Ukrainian national team.

Last season, Kocaelispor advanced to Turkey’s top tier, the Süper Lig, but has experienced a rough start, losing both matches played so far in the league.

Prior reports indicated that Dynamo Kyiv faced a scandal ahead of European fixtures and suffered a defeat in the Europa League qualifying round against an Israeli team.

These events have raised questions concerning the future prospects of the Kyiv club and its ability to compete at international level.
