Over 70% of Ukrainians Believe in Victory in the War with Russia: Recent Survey Results
According to the latest research conducted by the «Democratic Initiatives» Foundation named after Ilko Kucheriv with support from the Razumkov Center, more than 70% of Ukrainians remain confident in Ukraine’s eventual victory in the unprecedented conflict with Russia.
The survey results show that over 73% of citizens firmly believe in Ukraine’s ability to overcome the adversary and emerge victorious.
Conversely, only 17% of respondents are skeptical or do not believe in the country’s success.
It is noteworthy that there are no statistically significant differences between men and women regarding belief in victory.
However, notable variations appear among age groups: young people (up to 30 years old) are 8 percentage points less likely to doubt victory, whereas seniors (over 60 years old) tend to be more skeptical.
Geographically, the lowest confidence is observed in eastern regions, where only 55.5% believe in ultimate victory, while 31% do not share this optimism.
In contrast, southern regions exhibit higher confidence levels, with 69% trusting in victory and only 16% expressing disbelief.
Sociologists emphasize that the level of confidence has significantly declined in 2024, dropping by 11 percentage points, with a further decrease of 4% over the past year—almost within the survey’s margin of error.
The survey was conducted from August 12 to 18, 2025, involving 2002 respondents aged 18 and above residing in territories under Ukrainian control and away from active hostilities.
The face-to-face interview method ensured direct engagement, with a sampling error not exceeding 2.3%.
