On August 22, a serious road accident occurred along one of Ukraine’s main highways — the Kyiv-Chop route — resulting in injuries to nine residents of Kyivska region, including a four-year-old child.

The incident took place near the village of Povichne in the Zviahel district around 10:50 in the morning.

Preliminary reports indicate that two vehicles collided: a Volvo sedan driven by a 42-year-old woman from Kyiv and a Peugeot minibus operated by a 49-year-old man from Kyivska region.

The impact caused the minibus to veer off the road into a ditch, overturning and sustaining significant damage.

The remaining victims sustained various injuries and were transported for medical examination and treatment.

Among those injured were two children aged 10 and 13, along with four women aged 32, 39, 48, and 78.
