In the Donetsk region, near the strategically significant area of Chasiv Yar, intense combat continues between Ukrainian defenders and Russian occupiers.

According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), recent geolocation footage indicates attempts by Russian forces to advance westward from Kliščiivka, located southeast of Chasiv Yar.

These recordings suggest that Russian troops have made some inroads into this crucial area, which plays a vital role in regional control.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers have held a key position for over 130 days without the opportunity for rotation, posing a severe challenge to their morale and combat effectiveness.Additionally, Russian sources claimed that Russian troops entered the dacha zone near Kostiantynivka from the east, but Ukrainian drone activities forced them to withdraw.

However, ISW has not confirmed these reports. In their evening update, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that on the Kramatorsk front, defenders repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Kostiantynivka and Predtechyne.

Furthermore, earlier reports indicated that the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully recaptured most of the village of Tovste, providing hope for further progress in liberating the region from occupation.
