Ukrainian world-renowned track and field star Yaroslava Maguchikh unexpectedly took on the role of the heroine in a lively and humorous Japanese advertisement promoting the upcoming World Championships in Athletics, scheduled to take place in Tokyo.

In this amusing video broadcasted on Japanese TV, Yaroslava is depicted as a hero who effortlessly leaps over volleyball players, showcasing her incredible jumping skills.

Using editing techniques, the scene includes Japanese volleyball players Ayo Takahashi, Yuki Ishikawa, and Shun’ichiro Sato passing a ball to one another, creating a playful and eye-catching spectacle.

Of particular note is the tall Sato, standing at 205 centimeters, who appears as part of Yaroslava’s magical leap.

The commercial also states that over 420,000 tickets have been sold a month before the competition’s start, indicating strong public interest in the event.

The 23-year-old athlete, who is considered the most prominent high jump star worldwide, won Olympic gold last year in Paris and set a new world record of 2.10 meters.
