Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander Reports Successful Operations and Strengthening Defense at Pokrovske Front

The Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, recently provided an optimistic update on the military situation around Pokrovske and the nearby settlements.
According to him, Ukrainian troops have carried out a series of successful operations, resulting in the liberation of six towns and villages, while hundreds of Russian invaders were either destroyed or retreated.
These achievements mark a significant step in Ukraine’s counteroffensive efforts to reclaim occupied territories and bolster national defense.
During a Facebook live session, Syrskyi explained that although the enemy possesses numerical superiority, Ukrainian units display unwavering resolve and high discipline.
He also reported conducting an on-site meeting on the front line in Pokrovske, listening to commanders’ reports and visiting soldiers fighting near Dobropillia.
He emphasized the importance of quickly adapting to the enemy’s tactical changes, while prioritizing the safety of Ukrainian defenders.
“The key is to respond effectively and swiftly, while preserving the lives of our soldiers,” Syrskyi stated.
He expressed confidence that newly formed units within the Donetsk operational zone are already demonstrating good results, fulfilling their assigned responsibilities and working within designated military frameworks.
Despite the challenging situation, the Ukrainian military remains committed to holding their positions and protecting the country’s independence.
Syrskyi also mentioned that Russia is employing a tactic known as “thousand cuts” near Pokrovske — a strategy of continuous, almost imperceptible strikes and positional advances.
A combatant from the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, Stanislav “Osman” Bunyatov, explained that Russian forces are increasing pressure on Ukrainian logistics in the Pokrovske area, trying to gain control over crucial supply routes and connection points.
He believes the enemy’s goal is to complicate Ukrainian logistics and impede rapid replenishment and reinforcement of Ukrainian troops.
This situation requires Ukrainian defenders to stay vigilant and respond promptly to any breakthroughs or attacks, preventing threats to strategic defensive points.
Overall, the situation remains tense but under control, with Ukrainian forces and leadership confident in their ability to endure and improve the front-line conditions under the motto “We must stand firm and save Ukraine.”
