Trump Sets Two-Week Deadline to Determine Future of Peace in Ukraine and Promises Major Policy Shift if Unsuccessful

Former U.S.
President Donald Trump has made a striking statement regarding the ongoing situation in Ukraine, expressing confidence that within just two weeks, it will become clear whether Ukraine and its allies can achieve the long-awaited peace.
In an interview with the host of the popular conservative podcast ‘Todd Starnes Show,’ Trump emphasized that after this two-week period, he will make an official announcement concerning the United States’ and the international community’s next steps in this crisis.
According to him, if peace is not established by then, the United States will change its tactics and approaches to resolving the conflict, since ‘we will know very soon.’ Prior to this, Trump highlighted that the country must do everything possible to restore peace and return Ukraine to a peaceful life, along with regaining control over parts of its territories.
He also pointed out that Ukraine should not have started the war with Russia and that Kyiv should demonstrate flexibility and seek compromises during diplomatic negotiations.
Additionally, Trump revealed that he would actively work towards arranging a meeting between Ukrainian and Russian leaders but would not participate directly in the talks, focusing instead on supporting the process from outside.
It is worth recalling that Trump has repeatedly emphasized that signing a peace agreement will ensure stability for Ukraine and the return of territories, but he also stressed that the responsibility for peaceful resolution lies with the leadership of Ukraine and Russia.
