The situation along the Sumy region and its surroundings remains stable and under control, with Ukrainian forces successfully delaying Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian soldiers have managed to destroy up to 90% of the enemy’s sabotage units that attempted to penetrate defensive lines.

The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian troops demonstrated high resilience and strategic capability to defend key positions.

The president noted that the situation in Donetsk has stabilized, with the 54th Brigade restoring its positions and positive developments observed in Luhansk.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to reinforce their presence in Zaporizhzhia, transferring additional units from Kursk, but Ukrainian defenses remain intact and solid.

The situation in the Kharkiv area remains stable, with no significant active battles, though counter-diversion operations continue near Kupiansk against Russian sabotage groups.

In Sumy region, the threat of further Russian advances diminishes, as Ukrainian forces maintain their positions on the border, preventing enemy offensive actions.

Zelensky emphasized that thousands of Ukrainian troops are holding strategic positions, ensuring the enemy is not reallocated to other sectors or large-scale operations.

Recently, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s armed forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, warned that Russia is preparing for active offensive operations in Zaporizhzhia, transferring military units from Sumy region to support these efforts aimed at breaking through defensive lines and penetrating deeper into Ukrainian territory, a plan active since last year.

Despite these threats, Ukrainian defenses remain resilient, thanks to the ongoing efforts of Ukrainian military units to contain and repel Russian advances.
