Within Ukraine, the ongoing struggle against internal traitors continues to be a significant challenge for national security.

Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) made a high-profile revelation by detaining and exposing an officer recruited by enemy intelligence agencies who was providing crucial information to facilitate and adjust enemy strikes against Ukrainian military targets.

According to investigations, this officer, who commanded a drone platoon within a marine brigade fighting on the southern front, was transmitting geolocation data of his unit to the enemy, enabling precise artillery and airstrikes on Ukrainian positions.

Additionally, he coordinated aerial attacks using drones on command centers and ammunition depots of neighboring military units.

An equally grave aspect of his activity involved searching for potential candidates for recruitment into the Russian FSB’s espionage network, aiming to establish an intelligence spy ring.

During searches, encrypted files and two mobile phones were confiscated, likely used for communication and data transmission.

It was established that he was recruited through relatives living in temporarily occupied areas of Luhansk region.

Currently, he is in custody without bail, facing life imprisonment and property confiscation for treason.

Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian counterintelligence dismantled a Russian agent network led by a UOC MP priest, who operated as an intelligence asset for Moscow.

In a related operation, Ukrainian Air Force counterintelligence uncovered a pilot-instructor, a major in a Ukrainian aviation brigade, working for Russian intelligence and preparing strikes on Ukrainian airbases housing Mirage 2000, F-16 fighters, and Su-24 bombers.

These revelations underscore the importance of intensified security measures and proactive intelligence measures to prevent enemy infiltration into Ukraine’s military and government institutions.
