On the night of August 21, Russian forces launched a massive missile attack across Ukraine, igniting a new wave of tension and destruction.

The most concerning incident took place in Zaporizhzhia, where two missile strikes damaged several industrial facilities and residential buildings located nearby.

According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties; however, the destruction of windows and damage to property are significant.

The explosion wave shattered windows in nearby homes, heightening the sense of threat and underscoring the danger faced by the region.

Local emergency services are already working on recovery efforts, assessing damage, and conducting evacuation procedures.

Besides Zaporizhzhia, Russian rockets also targeted Zakarpattia — in Mukachevo, a large fire broke out following an explosion.

Monitoring sources revealed that two groups of cruise missiles were launched toward Zaporizhzhia, and overall, this night stands out as one of the most active in Ukraine’s recent history — Russian forces used various weaponry, including cruise missiles, Kalibr, Kinzhal, Kh-101, and allegedly Tsirkon.

The main direction of the strikes was reportedly aimed at western Ukraine regions — Lviv, Mukachevo, Lutsk, Dnipro, Kyiv, Rivne, and Sumy experienced explosions and missile attacks.

Residents of Vinnytsia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions also reported the sounds of explosions, emphasizing the widespread nature of the attacks.

Ukrainian military and security services are now analyzing all details of the assaults, but it is clear that this night was among the most tense recently, highlighting the ongoing need for strengthened defense measures and resilience among the Ukrainian population.
