Following a night missile attack carried out by Russia on an industrial facility in the city of Mukachevo, Andriy Hunder, the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, issued a strong statement.

He expressed his deep concern over the attack that targeted an American-owned enterprise, jeopardizing the safety of hundreds of workers and the future investment climate in Ukraine.

According to Hunder, in the early hours, Russian troops deliberately launched missile strikes against the Flex factory, which is an active member of the chamber and one of the region’s largest investors.

He emphasized that this incident was not merely an attack on Ukraine but also a calculated assault on American business interests operating within the country.

Two missiles struck the production facilities, where over 600 employees worked during the night shift.

Thanks to strict safety protocols, no one was injured or killed.

Hunder pointed out that Moscow’s actions not only destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure and economy but also damage the reputation and security of international companies investing in the region.

He highlighted that a region bordering the European Union, previously considered one of the safest in Ukraine, has now lost that status due to increased Russian military activity.

Earlier, during one of the most intense attacks on Kyiv, Russian forces damaged offices of the American aerospace company Boeing.

Hunder called for unified efforts and full support for domestic businesses to overcome these challenges, maintain Ukraine’s attractiveness to international investors, and ensure stability during these difficult times.
