In Mykolaiv, preparations are underway to activate a new stage of the city’s water supply system, promising residents reliable and clean water in the very near future.

According to the Recovery Agency, the restoration works on the water pipeline are nearly completed, and various activities are actively ongoing to ensure the full resumption of water services.

Over the past three weeks, 97% of the network and 86% of pumping stations have been coordinated, indicating a high level of system readiness.

Filling of the network with water started three weeks ago, and the process is progressing according to the planned schedule.

Currently, water has already passed through three pumping stations, and the entire network is nearly filled.

Ongoing works include setting up substations and constructing shelters for staff safety.

Additionally, specialists are installing irrigation systems designed to supply an extra 50 cubic meters of water daily to farmers.

It is also worth noting that due to an accident at the Inhulets River Canal Management facility in July, Mykolaiv and part of Kherson region experienced a water outage.

This resulted in a drop in water pressure and, in some districts, complete water supply stoppages, according to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

Restoring water supply remains a priority for the city authorities, with continuous efforts ongoing to restore full services as soon as possible.
