Russian Propaganda Spreads New Fake Stories About Attacks and Attempts to Justify Military Actions Against Ukraine

As part of their ongoing information warfare against Ukraine, Russian media outlets and online platforms have intensified the spread of false narratives aimed at damaging Ukraine’s image and justifying Russian military actions.
Recently, reports have emerged claiming that Ukrainian forces are allegedly preparing a series of strikes in the city of Kramatorsk, purportedly to create a pretext for Russian accusations.
The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that this is a typical Kremlin tactic — disseminating fake news to justify their criminal acts and shift blame onto Ukraine.
They also point out that such stories are designed to rationalize Russian terrorist attacks and sow discord within society.
Furthermore, messages claim that Putin is preparing an educational lecture for former U.S.
President Donald Trump about Ukrainian history, ostensibly to justify Russia’s military aggression.
Additionally, social media channels are sharing videos falsely accusing Ukrainian soldiers of shooting civilians — but in reality, the footage shows a Russian serviceman who opened fire and then left the scene.
These facts are confirmed by the Office of the Prosecutor General, which refutes these disinformation attempts and highlights Russia’s systematic use of fake narratives to justify its war crimes against Ukraine.
