According to international media reports, Israeli military authorities are initiating a large-scale mobilization of reservists as part of preparations for a new escalation of the Gaza conflict.

It is expected that in the coming days, approximately 60,000 former and active military personnel will be called up to bolster offensive actions against Hamas militants.

Importantly, the government has decided to carry out this mobilization gradually, with the process starting as early as Wednesday, August 20.

This move will significantly increase the number of troops in the conflict zone, raising concerns within the international community.

Some reservists will be engaged in active combat operations in Gaza, while others will be tasked with security duties around key sites and patrols.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans to capture Gaza, the de facto capital of Hamas, with the aim of dismantling the militants’ stronghold and eradicating their terrorist infrastructure.

This strategy has been sharply criticized not only by some European allies but also by domestic political opponents who are calling for an immediate ceasefire to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

Meanwhile, U.S.

President Donald Trump, emphasizing support, has expressed backing for Israel’s plans and urged unity.

At the same time, Hamas has announced its willingness to accept a humanitarian ceasefire proposed by Egypt and Qatar, which could save thousands of civilian lives.

The geopolitical and security situation remains tense, with high risks of escalation, prompting international actors to advocate for diplomatic solutions to prevent a large-scale humanitarian disaster.
