Since the beginning of the current day, August 20, the situation at the front remains tense and highly dynamic.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, there have been a total of 128 combat engagements, indicating an intense and persistent struggle between Ukrainian defenders and Russian invaders.

The most heated sector was the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy launched 36 attacks, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses.

Simultaneously, in the northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled four enemy breakthroughs, confirming ongoing active combat.

Russian forces employed 13 air strikes and dropped 29 guided bombs, while Ukrainian troops successfully defended against 198 shelling attacks, most of which were launched from multiple rocket launch systems.

In the southern regions, including Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Fyholivka, Ukrainian units repelled nine attempts by the enemy to breach their lines.

The Kupiansk direction became a hotspot of intense fighting, with two offensive assaults launched near Golubivka and Kupiansk, but all were repelled.

The Lyman sector remains tense, with 24 enemy attacks repelled in areas such as Karpivka, Ridkodub, Kolozyi, Mirne, and Torske, while four more skirmishes are ongoing.

On the Siversky direction, the enemy attempted to attack near Hryhorivka, Pereiizne, and Vyimka-Fedorivka, but all these attempts were successfully thwarted.

Critical conditions persist across multiple key front lines: Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Huliaipole, Orihiv, and Dniprovsk directions.

Notably, on the Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors, the enemy attempted renewed assaults on Ukrainian positions, but our defenders are holding the line, repelling all enemy advances.

Military analysts suggest that enemy activity indicates preparations for large-scale offensive operations, prompting Ukrainian forces to remain vigilant and prepared for any escalation.
