Enemy Drones Strike Odessa Region’s Port Infrastructure Again: One Injured and Major Damage Reported
On the night of August 20, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as kamikaze drones of the ‘Shahid’ type, targeted the Odesa region, specifically the Izmail district.
This latest assault has resulted in significant damage to the port infrastructure and sparked a fire that affected several logistical facilities.
Despite active efforts by anti-aircraft defenses, the attack managed to hit its mark, damaging critical port assets.
Emergency services responded swiftly to extinguish the fire, which is still being contained by personnel from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to official reports, one person was injured in the attack and is currently receiving necessary medical assistance.
Authorities emphasize that this terror tactics by the enemy remain unpredictable and destructive.
Ukraine continues to enhance its defensive measures and improve resilience against such attacks to safeguard vital infrastructure and civilian populations.
