Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made another highly alarming statement, emphasizing the potential for escalation in the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kyiv.

According to the Kremlin’s top diplomat, hostilities could resume if Ukraine fails to meet demands regarding the protection of the rights of the Russian minority and considers Russia’s security interests.

Lavrov stressed that without respecting the rights of Russians and Russian-speaking Ukrainians, as well as guarantees of Russian security, long-term agreements are unlikely.

He also conducted a conceptual analysis of Ukraine’s Constitution, claiming it theoretically obligates the state to fully ensure the rights of Russian minorities, yet in reality, Ukrainian laws prohibit the use of the Russian language in various spheres of life.

Lavrov’s remarks heighten tensions and suggest the possibility of new conflict scenarios amid current diplomatic strains and political instability in the region.
