New Regulations in Ukraine: How to Pass Mandatory Identification for Social Benefits in 2024

Since July, Ukrainian citizens receiving pensions and other forms of social assistance have faced new requirements for mandatory personal identification to continue receiving financial benefits.
Under the updated procedures, the internal administration of all social payments in the country has shifted to the control of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
This means every beneficiary now must undergo a special identification process to ensure uninterrupted receipt of their payments.
In the Luhansk region, representatives of the main PFU department explained how this process can be carried out using several accessible methods, including in-person visits, video conferencing, or through online authentication via the electronic portal.
