Mass Drone and Missile Attacks: The Situation in Kremenchuk and Surroundings

The extensive military activity by Russian forces continues to disturb the peace of Ukrainian cities, particularly in Kremenchuk, located in Poltava region.

On the night of August 19, the city once again became the target of a mass drone attack launched from various directions.

According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, dozens of kamikaze drones, including new reactive models, flew over the city, complicating interception and neutralization efforts.

The explosions heard throughout the night forced residents to seek shelter and safety, as the region experienced another wave of large-scale strikes.

In response, authorities reported that the number of drones heading for the city had reached around 13.

Meanwhile, the Poltava Regional Military Administration announced that due to a rocket attack from the enemy, there was a major power outage affecting over 500 legal entities and more than 7,300 residential subscribers.

Specialists are working to restore electricity.

Additionally, monitoring sources indicate that Russian forces likely launched missiles from the Saratov region, specifically the Kh-101 missiles.

Ukraine continues to strengthen its defenses and prepare for new challenges amid these threats.

Experts advise citizens to find shelter as quickly as possible during missile or drone attacks, such as bomb shelters, metro stations, or windowless entrances.

If no shelter is nearby, it is essential to follow safety rules: cover oneself with two walls, go lower than window level, or hide in a corner of a room below the window.

Avoid kitchens and bathrooms due to fragile and sharp objects that pose additional risks.

In high-rise buildings, it is crucial to move at least two floors below the roof; in three-story buildings, the second floor is considered safest.

Remember, proper actions during alarm signals can save lives and reduce risks during wartime.
