In the city of Kremenchuk, located in the Poltava region, law enforcement officials and bomb disposal units have discovered hazardous remnants of explosive devices—unexploded cluster munitions originating from Russian missiles.

These metallic projectiles are characterized by their distinctive silver color and resemble large balls, which naturally attract attention, especially among children.

According to Kremenchuk mayor Vitaliy Maletsky and patrol police representatives, these munitions are extremely dangerous and capable of detonating at any moment. The main safety warning for residents is to avoid approaching suspicious objects, refrain from touching or moving them.

It is crucial to immediately call emergency services at 101 or 102 and provide detailed information about the find.

Particular attention should be given to informing parents and educators, as these metallic items can be enticing to children. The police in Poltava warn that fragments or suspicious items can be found anywhere—parks, streets, yards—and they remain a potential threat that can explode even some time after discovery.

If you find a suspicious object, follow clear instructions: call 112, stay calm, warn nearby people, cordon off the area, and step back to a safe distance while waiting for rescuers. The recent military tensions in the region escalated on August 19th when the Air Forces reported the takeoff of two Russian Tu-95MS bombers and a probable launch of cruise missiles.

It was later confirmed that missiles were targeting Kremenchuk and nearby regions.

During the night of August 19th-20th, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on the area, causing destruction and power outages affecting over 1,500 subscribers.

The situation remains tense and requires residents to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols.
