Chernihiv Region Suffers Drone Attack: Local Man Killed During Strike
On the morning of August 19, the Chernihiv region became the target of a new large-scale drone attack, resulting in tragic consequences for the local community.
According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, a 45-year-old man from Nizhyn was killed during the strike carried out by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.
This incident highlights the increasing danger posed by combat drones, which are actively used by Russian forces to attack Ukrainian cities.
Besides the human casualties, the attack damaged critical infrastructure, causing power outages in several settlements.
Electric utility workers and emergency services are working tirelessly to restore electricity and stabilize the situation.
It is also recalled that in the night of August 19, Russian troops launched a series of missile strikes using Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Х-101 cruise missiles, and over 270 Shahed attack drones along with drone decoys.
These massive attacks affected multiple regions across Ukraine, underscoring the growing threat and the escalating complexity of the conflict.
