Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently held a meeting with U.S.

President Donald Trump, during which he highlighted significant progress in cooperation regarding the delivery of military equipment to Ukraine.

The main topic was the new mechanism for supplying weapons through NATO frameworks, enabling Ukraine to receive essential arms with the support of European partners via the PURL mechanism.

Zelensky sincerely expressed his gratitude to his American counterpart for this opportunity and emphasized that Ukraine is now receiving vital air defense systems, particularly the Patriot systems, which are indispensable for protecting Ukrainian skies.

He also pointed out that such systems are scarce in Europe, making them crucial for Ukraine’s security enhancement.

During the press conference, Trump stated that he no longer considers a ceasefire a necessary step for further negotiations with Russia.

He also briefly commented on potential security assurances from the U.S.

for Ukraine, hinting at possible measures of support.

This underscores the strategic importance of U.S.

backing for Ukraine amid the nation’s ongoing challenges and highlights the United States’ role as a key ally in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and security.
