Amid increasing tensions and ongoing military actions in Ukraine, Turkey reaffirms its firm support for diplomatic measures aimed at achieving peace.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan recently engaged in telephone conversations with his Ukrainian and Russian counterparts, expressing Turkey’s readiness to utilize all possible diplomatic channels and cooperate with international partners to find ways to end the conflict.

Notably, this stance aligns with Turkey’s broader policy of maintaining neutrality and promoting diplomatic negotiations.

Discussions included high-level meetings, such as contacts between the US and Russian presidents on Alaska, aimed at halting the war and ensuring regional security.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha emphasized the importance of consolidating international support and thanked Turkey for its active participation.

He highlighted that any decisions regarding Ukrainian territories without Kyiv’s involvement are unfounded and that peace efforts ignoring Ukraine’s position are ineffective.

Meanwhile, Turkish Minister Lavrov noted that Russia has shown signs of willingness to engage in dialogue, but the path to a fair peace remains long, requiring sustained international pressure.

These diplomatic steps demonstrate that Ukraine and its allies continue to work towards consolidating resources and articulating their stance for a lasting resolution of the conflict.
