Temporary Suspension of «Diia» Services: Causes and Expected Restoration Timeline

From August 16 at 20:00 until the morning of August 18, a significant portion of key services on the «Diia» portal will be inaccessible to users for approximately two days.

This scheduled maintenance is conducted by the Ministry of Justice to update essential government registers.

According to the portal’s notice, during this period, the service will neither store nor process users’ personal data, as all necessary information is retrieved from state registers in real-time when users access the portal.

As a result, the relevant registers — including the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs (USREIP), Civil Registry Office (DRAЦС), and others — will be temporarily unavailable.

This will affect numerous services such as registration, modification, or termination of individual entrepreneur status, services via the «Diia» app, workforce booking, issuance of duplicate certificates and extracts from civil registries, vehicle re-registration, name change records, birth, marriage, and divorce certificates, birth certificates for children, residence excerpts, subsidy applications, property rights registration, and more.

However, other services will continue to operate normally.

Recently, it was announced that PrivatBank launched «Diia Card» — a digital card for receiving government payments online.

Within just two days, over 400,000 Ukrainians had opened such cards in the bank.

The temporary suspension aims to facilitate system updates, after which users will be able to access all services seamlessly again, ensuring smooth digital interactions with the government after the maintenance window.
