Russian Attack on Zaporizhzhia: Tragedy in Novoyakovlivka and Widespread Destruction
As a result of another assault by Russian forces on the Zaporizhzhia region, a tragic incident occurred in the village of Novoyakovlivka — a teenage boy was killed, and several other children and adults were injured.
According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, Russian troops launched two strikes on the settlement using FABs — fragmentation air bombs.
The attack destroyed the family home and surrounding buildings, leaving behind a scene of devastation.
Among the victims was a 15-year-old boy who died instantly, while his younger brother (12), sister (8), and their parents (40 and 36 years old) sustained injuries.
Additionally, two adult men aged 41 and 51 were wounded.
This attack once again highlights the ongoing destruction and violence affecting Ukraine’s territories under occupation.
It underscores the urgent need for strengthened defense measures and diplomatic efforts to cease hostilities.
The residential buildings are heavily damaged, and civilians’ lives are under threat amid ongoing aggression from Russia.
