Secretary of State Marco Rubio has publicly stated that the United States does not intend to pressure Ukraine into making territorial concessions to Russia during potential peace talks.

According to the diplomatic official, Washington recognizes the importance of upholding Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and will never impose solutions that contradict their interests and wishes.

Rubio emphasized that despite tense relations between Kyiv and Moscow and Russia’s demands, Ukrainians have the right to determine their own future, and the US supports them in this pursuit of peace.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the US seeks open and constructive dialogue aimed at finding compromise solutions without applying pressure or ultimatums regarding territorial relinquishments.

Rubio’s statement comes amid growing tensions around possible agreements and international diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict.

Meanwhile, Western policies still debate formats and conditions for negotiations, but currently, the US insists on Ukraine’s independence and its right to make decisions independently, without external pressure.

This strengthens Kyiv’s position in the dialogue with the West and supports Ukrainian sovereignty amid the war.
