European Leaders and Macron to Join Important Meeting Between Zelensky and Trump in Washington

On Monday in Washington, a significant diplomatic gathering will take place, bringing together leading European politicians and American leaders to discuss current security issues and policies concerning Ukraine.
Participating in the meeting will be German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as French President Emmanuel Macron.
It is expected that these leaders will engage in discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and former U.S.
President Donald Trump on not only the situation in Ukraine but also potential strategies for international support and prospects for enhanced cooperation among nations.
According to sources, the involvement of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also planned, and she has confirmed her attendance.
Among key issues are the influence of political and diplomatic factors on Trump regarding Ukraine, as well as analysis of Russia’s demands voiced during negotiations in Alaska, including troop withdrawal from Donbas, lifting sanctions, and security guarantees for Kyiv.
Zelensky has already rejected these demands, particularly the call for troop withdrawal, reaffirming his firm stance.
Experts suggest that Trump’s reaction to this situation may vary, considering he already shows signs of frustration with both Russia and Ukraine, though no final decision has been announced yet.
