According to reports from leading American and European sources, former U.S.

President Donald Trump recently initiated a significant diplomatic event by inviting European leaders to participate in an upcoming meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, scheduled to take place at the White House this coming Monday.

As published by the reputable outlet The New York Times, this gathering aims to discuss the so-called ‘peace settlement plan,’ which involves complex territorial compromises on Ukraine’s part.

Official representatives emphasize that Ukraine independently makes decisions regarding its borders, adding that international boundaries shall not be altered by force.

During the consultations, Trump did not mention additional sanctions or economic pressure on Russia, although European leaders stressed that sanctions would remain in place until violence and hostilities cease, particularly in Donbas regions.

Additionally, reports from Bloomberg indicate that during talks with Europe and Zelensky, Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin insists on removing Ukrainian troops from occupied territories in Donbas, while Russia proposes to give up claims to Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, effectively freezing front lines there.

Trump also reportedly told Europeans that Putin desires an immediate ‘peace agreement,’ rather than just a ceasefire.
