Former U.S.

President Donald Trump has drawn significant attention with his recent statements regarding a possible meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

According to him, both leaders are keen on having him present at the negotiations, considering him a powerful figure capable of aiding in the peace process.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump openly stated: “Both—Putin and Zelensky—want me there.

They both want me to be there, and I will be.” His comments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict.

When asked if he is confident he can help achieve peace quickly, Trump responded affirmatively, saying, “Very short.” He also admitted to having previously misunderstood the Russia-Ukraine war as the easiest conflict to resolve of all international disputes, and during his campaign, promised to end it within 24 hours, thinking it would be the simplest.

His words: “I thought it would be the easiest of all conflicts, but it turned out to be the hardest.” Trump’s statements highlight his perspective on the potential diplomatic process and his personal role in efforts to end the conflict, which remains one of the key issues in contemporary international politics.
