Possibility of a trilateral meeting: will the war end before Christmas, says Grem

Amid recent statements by Republican U.S.

Senator Lindsay Graham, interest grows in the prospects of resolving the ongoing conflict between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.

Graham suggested that if a trilateral meeting between the leaders of these three nations takes place, there is a significant chance that the war, which has been ongoing for several years, could conclude before the Christmas of 2025.

Graham emphasized that such a meeting could accelerate a positive resolution but warned — without it, consequences might be more severe.

“If a trilateral meeting between President Trump, President Zelensky, and President Putin happens, I am cautiously optimistic that this war will end long before Christmas.

However, if it doesn’t happen, then I believe President Trump may take serious actions against Putin and those purchasing his oil and gas,” Graham stated on Twitter.

Meanwhile, official sources from Moscow reported that there are currently no plans for such a trilateral summit, and Trump and Putin have not discussed the possibility of meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

Political analysts highlight that the future of the protracted conflict depends on various factors.

Despite no negotiations underway yet, diplomatic efforts continue to find pathways toward peaceful resolution, with Ukrainian and international experts stressing the importance of balanced dialogue that safeguards Ukraine’s interests and security assurances for Europe.
