Intense Russian Offensive Continues on the Eastern Front, Presenting New Challenges for Ukraine’s Defenders

Since the beginning of the day, the frontline remains highly tense as Russian forces focus their efforts primarily on the key sectors of Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, over the past few hours, more than 126 combat engagements have taken place across the eastern front, with the most intense activity reported in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka sectors, where the enemy mounted 38 and 22 assaults respectively.

Furthermore, Russian troops increased their offensive operations in the areas of Lyman and Kupyansk, adding further pressure to these critical zones.North and south of the main conflict zones, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled all enemy assaults.

On the northern front, the Defense Forces fended off two enemy storm attempts in the Pivnichnoslobozhansky and Kursky sectors.

In the south, the enemy tried twice to breach Ukrainian positions near Kamianka but was met with strong resistance.

Additionally, Russian troops launched offensive actions in areas around Kındrashivka, Zapadne, Golubivka, and Stepova Novoselivka, but Ukraine’s defenders managed to repel ten attacks; three more battles are ongoing.

The Lyman front saw 16 enemy attacks near Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, and Kolodyazi, with three of these clashes still active.Ukrainian forces also succeeded in repelling an attack in Severodonetsk, where the enemy attempted to advance in the Hryhoriivka area.

Meanwhile, on the Toretsk direction, four Russian attempts to push into Ukrainian positions around Toretsk, Diliivka, and Pleshchiivka were halted by Ukrainian defenders.

Reports indicate that on the Pokrovsk sector alone, the enemy launched 38 attempts to advance, targeting settlements such as Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Nov Shakhove, Nove Ekonomichne, Rodinske, Promin, Lysivka, Chunishyne, Zvirove, Kotelne, Udayne, Horikhove, Muravka, and Filia.

Heavy fighting persists in many of these locations.Preliminary reports state that Ukrainian troops eliminated 139 Russian soldiers on Saturday at this front, including 91 who were killed without return, and destroyed one artillery system, seven vehicles, and 18 unmanned aerial vehicles.

Additionally, several enemy positions, including artillery installations, shelters, and command posts, were damaged.On the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy attempted 22 incursions into Ukrainian-held territories around Novokhatske, Vilne Pole, Mrine, Piddubne, Shevchenko, Voskresenka, Temirivka, Maliyivka, and Ohlivske.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces managed to repel an enemy attack toward Stepnohirsk.

On the Prydniprovskiy front, the adversary’s two attempts to approach Ukrainian positions failed, underscoring their inability to push further.Overall, the situation remains tense, but Ukrainian defenders are actively resisting, preventing enemy advances and safeguarding their territory.

Continuous fighting and strategic countermeasures remain critical as the conflict unfolds in this vital region.
