Following the extensive negotiations between the leaders of the United States and Russia in Alaska, public and expert discussions are actively analyzing the results of this diplomatic meeting and its impact on the global geopolitical landscape.

Former US national security advisor John Bolton publicly shared his views, emphasizing that although Trump did not experience a formal defeat, the real victor of the summit was Vladimir Putin.Bolton pointed out that for Donald Trump, the talks concluded with little substantial progress, aside from agreements to hold future meetings.

Conversely, Putin made significant strides in improving relations with the US, which is seen as a primary goal by the Kremlin.

Bolton also highlighted that the Russian president avoided new sanctions, avoided discussions on ceasefire issues, and held a meeting without Ukraine’s leader, Vladimir Zelensky.During the press conference, Putin expressed hope that Ukraine and the EU would not undermine the agreements reached with Trump.

Meanwhile, the American leader stated that no final understanding was achieved, and therefore, no agreement has been signed so far.

The talks lasted over two hours and forty-five minutes — the longest engagement of their meeting. The significance of these negotiations is underscored by international reactions and analysts’ assessments, who note shifts in power dynamics and bilateral relations.

Further consultations and diplomatic steps are needed, and policymakers are already discussing new measures aimed at stabilizing and developing relations on a global scale.
