The meeting between the US and Russian leaders in Alaska turned out to be one of the most striking events in recent months on the global political stage.

Journalist Jacky Heinrich from Fox News shared her impressions of the nature of the encounter, describing it as a quick, almost lightning-fast appearance by Vladimir Putin, who did not waste time on lengthy speeches or diplomatic formalities.

Putin immediately voiced his positions, made his main statement, took a photo with President Trump, and quickly moved on.

According to Heinrich, during the joint press conference, both leaders spoke for shorter durations than expected, with each limited to just speeches without answering journalists’ questions.

Putin spoke approximately 8 and a half minutes, while Trump spoke less than 3 and a half minutes.

This surprised many and led to restrained reactions, as the administration’s scenario had envisaged a full press conference if the talks went well, allowing for questions from the media.

However, something different happened — likely due to tension, intensity, and diplomatic sharpness of the situation.

Notably, Putin was the first to address the press, despite the meeting taking place on U.S.

soil.

After the negotiations, Trump also engaged in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, although he previously stated he would only do so if the Alaska summit proved successful.
