Zelensky Celebrates Ukrainian Defence Successes and Anticipates Intelligence Report Ahead of Alaska Meeting

Following the latest meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, key signals regarding the situation at the front and international negotiations have been received by Ukraine’s military command and government.
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainian forces are making significant progress in repelling enemy advances in the Pokrovske sector, highlighting the relentless efforts of our troops to prevent Russian occupiers from consolidating their positions and strengthening their offensive on Ukraine’s eastern front.
At the same time, he informed about preparations for an upcoming diplomatic meeting in Alaska, where discussions among partners will focus on opening pathways toward a fair and lasting peace.
Zelensky expressed hope that this meeting would serve as a first step toward constructive dialogue among the tripartite: Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.
He underlined the importance of a military intelligence briefing on Russia’s current intentions, which he expects will help portray an accurate picture of the situation.
Despite ongoing tensions and Russian losses, the Kremlin continues to use diplomatic leverage to attain advantageous political positions in the upcoming Alaska talks, while Ukraine remains active in informing international allies about the real circumstances on the ground.
At the front, the situation remains tense, particularly in the Pokrovske, Dobropillia, and Zaporizhzhia sectors, where Ukrainian defenders are actively countering Russian attempts to establish footholds and are intensifying pressure on enemy positions, including striking their military installations and fortifying defenses.
Units of the 79th and 82nd Air Assault Brigades are achieving notable success in the Dobropillia direction, with additional reinforcement in Donetsk region.
Overall, Ukrainian troops demonstrate resilience and steadfastness in the fight, while Russian forces suffer significant losses, striving to secure favorable political conditions for Moscow during the upcoming negotiations.
Zelensky reaffirmed Ukraine’s readiness for dialogue and active cooperation, asserting that the results of the Alaska meeting will significantly influence the future trajectory of the conflict and regional stability.
