Ukrainians to be able to divorce online via «Diya» app this autumn: detailed plans for new service launch

As early as this autumn, Ukrainian citizens will gain the ability to initiate divorce proceedings remotely through the «Diya» mobile application, announced Mykhailo Fedorov, the First Vice Prime Minister for Digital Transformation.
In a TikTok video blog, he provided detailed insights into the upcoming plans for launching this convenient and modern service.
According to Fedorov, the new service will feature gamification elements designed to encourage users to carefully consider their decision, as divorce is a significant life step, especially during wartime.
The minister emphasized that this innovative approach will help people avoid queues and save time at government offices.
Additionally, before autumn, several more online marriage registration rooms are planned to alleviate the queues caused by high demand.
By the end of 2025, the online service for changing surnames is also expected to be launched, along with the introduction of «eNotariat» — an electronic notary service scheduled to become available in the first quarter of 2026.
Equally important is the upcoming launch of the electronic excise service, set to start in January 2026.
Furthermore, in the coming days, the «School Package» service will be launched, allowing first-graders’ parents to receive up to 5000 hryvnias on their Diya.Card for purchasing school supplies.
The development of these services aims to make public services faster and more accessible for Ukrainians.
