Recent military operations have led to a significant breakthrough for Ukrainian forces, as units of the 7th Air Assault Battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and allied units have completed a comprehensive operation to clear the strategically important city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region from Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as individual enemy fighters.

This operation represents a crucial step in ensuring the security of local residents and consolidating Ukrainian control over this vital sector of the front.According to an official statement from the press service of the 7th battalion, Ukrainian soldiers are now actively patrolling the city, maintaining security perimeters, and facilitating movement for local residents.

While movement within the city remains somewhat restricted to ensure safety, it is still possible to access Pokrovsk, as affirmed by the military personnel.

The presence of Russian sabotage groups in the city dates back to July 15 of the previous year, when these groups first infiltrated the area, conducting reconnaissance and preparing for potential attacks. An important note is the longstanding presence of the 68th Separate Yeeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, which has been tasked with protecting key strategic points and countering sabotage activities since the onset of hostilities.

Currently, Pokrovsk is under the firm control of Ukrainian forces, and operational restrictions and continuous monitoring are being maintained to prevent new provocations and sabotage attempts. In addition, Ukrainian military officials have released a video report from Pokrovsk, showcasing the success of their operation and aimed at strengthening public confidence in the Ukrainian Armed Forces both domestically and internationally.
