Ukraine Stresses Its Crucial Role in Peace Negotiations: Foreign Minister Emphasizes Kyiv’s Involvement in Conflict Resolution Decisions
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha unequivocally stated that any decisions concerning the path to peace cannot be made without Kyiv’s active participation.
He emphasized that Ukraine, in cooperation with its international partners, insists that peace negotiations should only commence after a complete ceasefire and stabilization of the situation across the country.
In his address, he highlighted that Ukrainians, together with Europeans, desire peace more than anyone, but Russia, on the other hand, remains focused on waging war and seeks to erect new barriers and walls on Ukraine’s road to a just and sustainable peace.Furthermore, Sybiha underscored that the transatlantic community of democratic states remains united and capable of countering Russian imperial ambitions.
He pointed out that the strength of this transatlantic alliance provides Ukraine the opportunity to achieve a peace based on reliable security and mutual trust.
The minister emphasized that Western unity and their readiness to support the Ukrainian people are fundamental in realizing a peace that guarantees Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.
