In recent days, the situation in the Donetsk region has remained tense due to active shelling by Russian forces, resulting in significant destruction and civilian casualties.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched 21 artillery strikes across various areas of the region, including cities and towns still under Ukrainian control.

The most affected was Kostiantynivka, where one person was killed and two others injured during an attack.

Several private residential buildings were damaged, a workshop was destroyed, and a large fire broke out, which firefighters successfully extinguished.

Simultaneously, in Dobropillia, the enemy targeted residential sectors, causing injuries among civilians and igniting fires on open land—burning houses, garages, and summer kitchens.

Emergency services worked tirelessly to control the fires, but due to repeated attacks, efforts had to be temporarily halted.

Military officials report that situations in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are nearing encirclement, with Kostiantynivka operating in a semi-circle, complicating evacuation efforts and increasing challenges for defenders.

Additionally, fires caused by Russian shelling were reported in Bilozerka, a situation that was localized but had to be halted again due to ongoing attacks.

Authorities are also implementing evacuation plans for families, including in Druzivka and nearby communities, to prevent further casualties and reduce harm to civilians.
